17. Big Bowl of Salad

Yet another common sight during feasts, a bowl of salad is always present at the table. The Humphreys go for simple salads while the Waldorf and Van Der Woodsen go for lavish ones.

Serving size:

Cooking time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

1 medium squash

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

6 ounces baby spinach

5 tablespoons pomegranate seeds

1 medium apple, chopped

¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions:

1. Half the squash and place on a greased baking tray.

2. Bake in a preheated 400 Fahrenheit oven for 50 minutes.

3. Cut into cubes.

4. Add the honey and olive oil to a bowl and mix.

5. Season as per your taste.

6. To assemble, add the squash, apple, pomegranate and spinach to a bowl and pour the dressing all over.

7. Sprinkle the cheese on top and serve.
